DESCRIPTION:With a view to promote various government schemes for artisans\
 , a one-day workshop was held by Pragati Path Foundation in collaboration 
 with the Development Commissionerate (Handicrafts)\, Ministry of Textiles\
 , Government of India\, at Hotel Plaza Inn\, Varanasi\, Uttar Pradesh.\n\n
 More than 100 artisans from Varanasi attended the workshop. Resource perso
 ns oriented the participants on the various schemes of Development Commiss
 ionerate (Handicraft)\, Ministry of Textiles\, Government of India. Sessio
 ns were held on Geographical Indicators (GI)\, Goods and Services Tax (GST
 )\, Government e- market (GeM) Portal\, Use of e-commerce  platforms\, an
 d Mudra Loan. Resource person from InditeGlobal conducted session GEM port
 al. Senior officials from Government of India\, including those from the N
 ational Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)\, participated
  in the programme.\n\n
