With a view to promote various government schemes for artisans, a one-day workshop was held by Pragati Path Foundation in collaboration with the Development Commissionerate (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, at Hotel Plaza Inn, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
More than 100 artisans from Varanasi attended the workshop. Resource persons oriented the participants on the various schemes of Development Commissionerate (Handicraft), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Sessions were held on Geographical Indicators (GI), Goods and Services Tax (GST), Government e- market (GeM) Portal, Use of e-commerce platforms, and Mudra Loan. Resource person from InditeGlobal conducted session GEM portal. Senior officials from Government of India, including those from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), participated in the programme.
